Japanese Pampas Grass Field in Sengokuhara

Sengokuhara Susuki Meadow has been selected as one of the top 50 scenic spots in Kanagawa and one of the top 100 flower spots in Kanagawa.
It is famous for its silver grass, which attracts countless tourists every year.
The silver grass turns golden and spreads over the surface of the mountain from the end of September until the beginning of November,
creating Sengokuhara’s beautiful autumnal scenery.

The slopes of Mt. Daigatake are covered with silver grass.
A path cuts through the meadow of silver grass, allowing you to enjoy a fantastic view of the landscape amid the silver grass.
Every year, on a windless day in March, a mountain burning ceremony is held in order to protect the natural environment.
Enjoy the powerful sight of the large flames burning away at the mountain.
