Guide to bathing in Japan

There is some bathing etiquette you need to know before you use ONSEN.

1- Wash before entering the bath

Wash face and body, then rinse off all sope before entering the tub.
Enter naked, without wearing a towel, and enjoy soaking-only soaking.

2- NO towels in the tub

Enter the bath slowly, to avoid splashing.

As a matter of public hygiene,don’t put or let your towel into the water and do not wash your hair, body or cloth in the tub.

3- Dry off after bath and before entering dressing room

Dry off with a towel in the bathing area before entering the dressing room,

to prevent the dressing room floor getting wet.

4- Prohibited matter

• Do NOT use cellphone in onsen or dressing room.
• Do NOT take photos in onsen or dressing room.
• Guest are tattooed can NOT use onsen.
• Do NOT swimming in the tub.
• NO swimming wear in onsen.
• Guest are using diapers can NOT use onsen.
